Poppy seed oil offered by our company OLVITA is extracted as a result of cold pressing of the blue poppy seeds. The low extraction temperature (not exceeding 40ºC) allows maintaining the most important active substances in this oil.

Poppyseed oil is characterised by:

– high unsaturated fat content (91 g/100 g),

– high polyunsaturated fat content (73 g/100 g).

Linoleic acid (LA) helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect occurs with an intake of 10 g LA a day.

Maintaining a healthy state of health requires a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Poppy seed oil, due to its high linoleic acid (omega-6) content, is ideal for balancing oils with high omega-3 content, e.g. Dr. Budwig Linseed Oil.

Use and recommended intake:

For direct consumption or as an addition to salads, mayonnaise, dips, and other dishes.

It is not recommended to heat the oil.

Suggested serving is 3 teaspoons / day.

Storage:

It is important that the oil is stored in a dark, cool place, and after opening in the fridge. At low temperatures, the oil can start to solidify and become cloudy. It is a natural process, fully reversible, not affecting the quality of the product.

This oil has a good, characteristic taste and smell. Due to the fact that it is a 100 % natural product, the taste, colour and smell of the oil may vary from batch to batch.

It is not recommended to heat the oil.
