Apricot kernel oil Cold-pressed , raw

It is extracted by cold pressing of apricot kernels. It is extremely delicate in taste, resembles oil from unroasted almonds. It has a characteristic aftertaste and straw-yellow colour.

Cold-pressed raw apricot kernel oil is characterised by:

– high unsaturated fat content (94 g/100 g)

– high monounsaturated fat content (63 g/100 g).

Apricot kernel oil, due to its high content of monounsaturated fatty acids, is considered to be part of the Mediterranean diet.

Replacing dietary saturated fats with unsaturated fats helps to maintain healthy blood cholesterol levels (mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids are both unsaturated fats).

The beneficial effect occurs with an intake of 10 g LA a day.
